great place to stay in koh larn for couples. staff is friendly and pool is clean and large. location is close to the island center via scooter. food is average

We were sleeping soundly in our room, only to be awakened by a power saw in an open room across the hall. Seems the workers started early renovating the room and we were not informed! Power saw just kept on going and going until I went to the front desk to complain. The manager apologized and went up to the room to make them stop it. They said how very sorry they were, however we were already up! Sorry does not make up for poor guest relations. I informed them that we were on vacation and we didn't need this noise in the morning. The hotel itself has seen better days. It definitely is on the way down in terms of cleanliness and facilities. I would not recommend this property and I certainly will not stay here the next time I come back. Also the hotel is far from town. You need to walk or have a motorbike. I inquired about a motorbike rental from the hotel, but their times were quite unusual. Instead of working on a 24-hour rental, they based the return time on the time we checked into the hotel which was 1:00 p.m. I guess this was a way to shake down the customer for an additional rental day. Room was not worth it....small and pricey. Nope! We will not be back!
