I will take responsibility for the location not being the best, had I known there was going to be a fireworks festival, I wouldn't have booked ANY hotel in Yeongjong on Oct 18. It took over an hour to cross Incheon Bridge, when it's normally a 5 minute drive over. Once headed into the Yeongjong area traffic was at a standstill and there weren't any KNP to aid in getting cars illegally parked to move or to even direct traffic when it was needed. After another hour we finally made it to the lobby of the hotel. The kiosk to check-in wasn't working, once the night auditor fixed it you could only check in with a reservation number or QR Code which Agoda doesn't offer. When the night auditor came back to the front desk after assisting a large group checking in, she acted like she didn't see me or my friend standing there. Another almost 10 minutes went by before she acknowledged me. I handed her my Foreign Resident Card to check in, however, it seemed like she couldn't read or speak English. I know this area of Incheon has a large community of Chinese residents as well as Chinese travelers, but even a small amount of English should be spoken as it's the secondary language in South Korea. After five minutes of her pretending to search for my reservation, she called me behind the counter to look for the reservation under my last name as she scrolled through the screen. We finally were given our key card and headed up to our room. Once we entered we took note that we were upgraded from a double twin bed to two full size beds, but they were pushed together like a super king sized bed. We pulled them apart and put the nightstand back between them, and noticed how dirty the floor was. (First photo) I pulled back my duvet and there was a large brown stain, we were so tired we didn't want to go back down and try to have the room changed. I flipped the duvet over, then noticed there was a stain on the bed sheet and pillow case. My friend said the balcony door's handle was broken off on one side, and the other didn't have a lock. There was also a cabinet door leaning up against the wall and I pointed out it was supposed to go on the cabinet between the two desks. We quickly ate the food we brought in with us, went to bed and couldn't wait to leave in the morning. This was an absolute horrible experience.
