Lovely burger for lunch at General Store.
E-bikes great fun for exploring the island with loads of koala sightings.

We enjoyed staying here in the caravan for our mini getaway on French Island. The location was nice and peaceful, while conveniently located right behind the general store which was handy. It acted as the perfect base for us to drive around and explore the island. The accomodation was also more spacious than we expected, and was a bonus being able to watch the footy while unwinding at nighttime. Being a caravan, it was as expected quite rustic, but we found it to be an upgrade from our usual camping setup with a swag. :)
We did find the bed to be very hard and a tight squeeze, but we made it work for the night. We were also disappointed to learn that the general store currently isn’t doing any meals (and hasn’t done since Christmas time). We were looking forward to enjoying lunch there on arrival but opted for a couple of pies instead.

The mobile home/large caravan was at the very back of the property and looked out onto a paddock with lovely scenery. Inside the van has been given a fresh en up with calming neutral tones. We were really comfortable and enjoyed the private location.

Very quaint and plenty of space. Remote but beautiful quite location
There is a BBQ but the store was lacking groceries & nowhere else to shop. Property was not properly cleaned. Lack of heating. Store advertised as opening 8.30am didn’t open until 9am and had no food for breakfast. Nothing to do on the island
