Ubicación. Era tal cual lo que se veia en las fotos.

Location was great - lots of restaurants and cafes close by.

The bed was a bit small for two people. The place needs a good deep clean and there should be a rubbish bin in the bathroom. The sink in the bathroom is also very small and awkward. There was construction next door, but this was mentioned in the post.

Excelente ubicación!...la anfitriona fue flexible con el check in.

Están en construcción en el edificio lindero. Pero ya estaba informado en la descripción del anuncio del dpto.

[castellano abajo] It's a spacious studio apartment, well furnished and well equipped. The bed is super, super comfy, and the place was nice and warm despite a couple of cold, rainy days. It also has an electric heater that works wonders, though I only needed it toward the end of my stay. The location is great, with plenty of public transport nearby ---- Es un departamento estudio/monoambiente amplio, bien amueblado y con todo lo necesario. La cama es súper, súper cómoda, y el lugar estaba calentito pese a un par de días fríos y lluviosos. Además, tiene una estufa eléctrica que funciona de maravilla, aunque solo la necesité la última mañana de mi estadía. Está muy bien ubicado, con abundante transporte público en los alrededores.

[castellano abajo] Unfortunately, there were several maintenance issues that have little to do with the building being old (which, for the record, I found charming!). The most serious is that the gas water heater (calefont) has no temperature knob, so you can't adjust the water temperature, which actually makes it dangerous. The other issue is the shower. The water pressure is perfect, but the temperature is not. It goes from hot or warm to freezing cold in seconds, which forces you to turn off the tap, wait a minute while you're standing there wet, and then turn it back on in the hope that the water will be warm. It often takes several tries. Lastly, the dishwasher had something stuck in it (food, I assume) when I arrived. In all fairness, Dolores offered to come and clean it, but she asked me to set a time when I'd be at the flat, and I wasn't in a position to commit to a fixed schedule. I therefore cleaned it myself. --- Lamentablemente, hubo varios problemas de mantenimiento que no tienen mucho que ver con la antigüedad del edificio (que a mí me encantó!). El más grave es que el calefón a gas no tiene perilla de temperatura, por lo que no es posible regularla (a menos que tengas un alicate), lo que es peligroso. El otro problema es la ducha. La presión es perfecta, pero la temperatura no. Pasa de caliente o tibia a helada en segundos, lo que obliga a cerrar la llave, esperar un rato mientras estás todo mojado y volver a abrirla con la esperanza de que esta vez salga tibia. Tuve que hacer varios intentos. Por último, el lavaplatos tenía algo pegado (restos de comida, supongo) cuando llegué. Cabe señalar que Dolores se ofreció a venir a limpiarlo, pero me pidió darle una hora en que yo estuviera en el departamento, y yo no estaba en condiciones de fijarme horarios. Por lo tanto, lo limpié por mi cuenta.
