This is a house that I think was built in 1880. I liked the high ceilings and wood floors - it’s much more interesting than a modern hotel. It was very nice and clean and I also liked that it was on the St Charles streetcar line which was very inconvenient. I didn’t use my car during our stay.
The hosts quickly answered any questions and we felt safe on the property with 3 locked doors between our room and the street.
One night the wind was blowing hard and the window in one of the bedrooms was rattling a little as a result. That’s the only negative thing we experienced.

I recently stayed in these beautiful apartments located in a historic New Orleans mansion, and the experience was wonderful. The building has so much character - high ceilings and that special feeling of old Southern architecture. At the same time, everything inside felt clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated.
The location was perfect for exploring the city, but still quiet enough to relax at the end of the day. The hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with, and we felt very safe and taken care of during our stay.

Our family felt right at home in Unit 5. The space was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the blend of historic character with all the modern comforts. After long days exploring the city, it was a wonderful retreat to come back to. This was the perfect New Orleans experience! We loved being in the heart of it all on beautiful St. Charles Avenue. The ability to hop on the streetcar right outside our door was incredible, and we spent every morning with coffee on the balcony, watching the world go by. The historic charm of the Walker Mansion made our stay truly special.
