Spacious 3-Bed Clayfield House with Patio and BBQ

We booked for 4 nights and the location is ideal, the property was clean and had everything to be comfortable for our short stay with two kids - 10&11. My youngest daughter loved all the books and it felt homely, but not to cluttered. It has a well equipped kitchen with good quality appliances and plenty of plates, cutlery and utensils. Plenty of toilet paper and washing machine detergent. Central heating/cooling It was modern and the bathrooms were very nice with plenty of hot water and clean towels.

My preference is to do all communication and payments through booking.com. Paying through a third party provider and needing to access other apps for information about the property when travelling is inconvenient.

House suited us because of the location and the house design was lovely /suitable to colleges staying together for a course. great that it had coffee pod machine, plenty of plates and glasses, nice wine glasses, clean linen, airfryer - awesome. Loved that there is a piano there. Decor and house amenities very good except the broken stove and the replacement stove was very very slow and did not heat up. gas would have been much better to give as a replacement stove .that little Kmart stove was pretty shit and took all the breakfast time just to heat up in time to have to leave. its like a stove for kids . anyway they couldn't have known that surely. but next time just give the gas portable stove. much better to use for cooking.

as above the stove situation. Worst thing was the lack of toilet paper, dishwasher soap, detergent to wash dishes was already almost gone when we arrived. NO Hand soap provided in any toilet. the downstairs toilet had no hand towel provided at all. Usually in Air B&B they would provide a large liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. this place only had a tiny hotel one (one item for 11 days) in each bathroom upstairs. no soap in downstairs toilet at all. this isnt enough, lucky most of us brought their own toiletries, but some of us didn't. we had to go to the shops and buy hand soap for all the sinks so people could wash hands . for 11 nights staying there 5 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people is not enough just so you know. The message that was returned on this saying you provide a 'starter kit" for toilet paper was hilarious ... I've never thought of toilet paper as a starter kit, I'm left visualizing what happens when your on the bog and the starter kit runs out. This part was pretty disappointing as our trip was all work long study days and not much time to go shopping for these items. anyway, it worked out but this small detail could have made things a lot better esp considering the price paid. Also, there was the lack of instruction about anything in the house - no note or manual about whats there, where to get food nearby or anything. all of us were from WA we don't whats around etc or how to use the various things. the dryer water tank needed to be emptied at one point - how would we know that? none of us have a dryer at home and we just had to figure it out. the communication once arriving wasn't easy either. you have to use a password with a wierd website thing rather than just having someone to phone or email directly. that made things even harder to find out on the first day arriving re the amenities provided

The house was very clean and well presented. For what we were doing in Brisbane, the location was excellent.

The beds were comfy. Bathrooms gorgeous. Everything you need in the kitchen. We really didn’t have to bring much at all except food.

BBQ was dirty and not ready for use so we didn’t use that as it was too much effort to clean it up before we could use it then have to clean it again before leaving. Garbage bins were overflowing when we arrived on the Wednesday and stunk. We contacted the comfy.com team who did nothing about it at all. Said they’d organise their team to collect next Tuesday. In other words. They’d wait for council collection the following week so we had to endure our entire stay with overflowing, stinking rubbish bins right beside our car and nowhere to put our rubbish. They said just leave it on the ground next to the bins. I didn’t find this acceptable.
