Whinstone Cottage, a charming holiday cottage, consists of a kitchen/diner with dining seating, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and kettle, a sitting room with electric woodburning stove, and a snug with woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a double and twin. There is a traditional bathroom with bath , basin, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. 1 medium sized dog welcomed. The Railway has been preserved and run by enthusiasts since 1973 and today carries upwards of 300,000 passengers a year. The village has a general store, post office, book shop, art gallery, cafes and a pub. It makes a great base for exploring the many pretty farming villages along the Esk Valley and the wider North York Moors National Park, as well as the North Yorkshire Coastline with characterful harbour towns and villages.
