About this house rental

The house was built in 1921. It has been waiting for you since.

Claire is a Craftsman bungalow on a quiet, tree-lined street in Tyler's historic Charnwood District — the first neighborhood in Tyler listed on the National Register of Historic Places. She does not look like every other rental on the internet. Original bones intact. Story-driven interiors. Boutique hotel feel without the boutique hotel price.

This is a home designed for gathering, for slowing down, and for arriving somewhere that actually feels different.

THE SPACE
Warm hardwood floors, crown molding, and a living room that tells you to sit down and stay awhile. Sage velvet sectional, cognac leather chair, large smart TV, oversized floral art. The light through the original windows is the kind you cannot fake.

The kitchen is a real cook's kitchen — full gas range, stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, air fryer, coffee station, breakfast bar. Glass-fronted oak cabinets showcase fine dishes, cocktail tumblers, and glassware for every occasion. Everything needed to cook a real meal or set a proper table.

The farmhouse dining room seats six under an iron candelabra chandelier. Beadboard wainscoting. Teal sideboard. Linen curtains. The kind of room that makes a meal run two hours past dessert.

THE BEDROOMS
The primary suite does not apologize. Deep forest green walls, upholstered king bed, brass lamps, 65-inch smart TV, and a private door to the porch for mornings that need air before words.

The en suite bathroom holds a freestanding clawfoot soaking tub, a glass-enclosed walk-in shower with subway tile, and double oak vanities. Quality towels. Stocked essentials. The clawfoot tub is the star. Everything else gives her room to shine.

Bedroom 2 is bright — an iron queen bed, a white beadboard ceiling, and treetop views. Bedroom 3 has a dark spindle four-poster bed and a literary wallpaper border of antique books. Both are made with quality mattresses and 100 percent cotton sheets.

The knotty pine study is Claire's best room. Floor-to-ceiling pine paneling on every wall and the ceiling. Two sofas sleep two additional guests. A wooden desk with a brass lamp for the remote worker who cannot quite leave the office behind. This room has a soul.

Sleeps 8:

King — primary suite
Queen — bedroom 2
Full/queen — bedroom 3
Two sofas — knotty pine study

WORK AND EXTENDED STAYS
High-speed Wi-Fi. Dedicated desk workspace. Schlage Encode smart lock with self-check-in and backup lockbox. Full-size LG washer and dryer. Iron and ironing board. Linens and towels provided. Claire is as well-suited to a month as she is to a long weekend.

Ideal for traveling nurses, medical professionals, remote workers, and relocation guests.

IDEAL FOR FAMILIES AND FRIEND GROUPS
Pack—and—play and travel crib available. Children's books and dinnerware on hand. Large backyard with room to run. Quiet, walkable, residential neighborhood.

For friend groups: the kind of house that becomes the story of the trip — not just where you slept.

OUTDOORS
A white cast-iron bistro set under a navy macrame-fringe umbrella on the side deck — the kind of setup that earns its own photograph. Large private backyard, open and quiet enough for stargazing. Covered carport and long driveway — free parking for multiple vehicles.

We really enjoyed our stat at Claire. The host was very friendly and could not be more accomodating. The house is vintage circa 1920 and has been remodeled with the original architectual design so it was very nostalgic which the pictures don't do justice to. In short, the house was very charming. The beds, pillows, couch etc. were very comfortable and they spared no expense as all items in the house are much higher quality than you normally find in a Vrbo. The living room and master bedroom both have a very large TV which we appreciate as most Vrbos go cheap here. Highly recommend the Claire!

The host has thought of everything. From shampoo, conditioner and soap. To Q-tips, cotton balls and make up wipes. The home was clean and decorated so cute. We absolutely loved our stay. Close to lots of restaurants and the Caldwell Zoo. The master suite was gorgeous and set apart from the rest of the house which was nice. I would very highly recommend this home for your next stay in Tyler. My family will be returning to Claire again.

Sandra thought of everything! There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the home. It was very, very welcoming! I appreciated the well stocked kitchen - everything you need to prepare and serve meals. The tray with lemonade packets and a pitcher with glasses would be perfect for summer evenings. The nicely appointed bathroom was stocked with quality toiletries and soft, fluffy towels. Our bedroom had an excellent mattress and a selection of pillows for our comfort. Lovely decor and spotlessly clean - this little house was a home away from home. The historic location was perfect and we were able to drive the azalea trail! Also, the area was very quiet and tranquil.

We were so lucky to have picked Sweet Claire for our extended stay. The host was always available for questions. The home was very well equipped for all our needs. We loved our time at Sweet Claire but are really glad to be back in our remodeled home. I would highly recommend Sweet Claire for your stay however short or extended.
