Welcome to Trout Hollow Cottage, a beautifully renovated and remodeled log cabin situated on 1,200 feet of the beautiful Boardman River, complete with a riverfront hot tub! Private, private, private! Water surrounds three sides of the property, with a small pond on the fourth.
Located directly on the riverbanks, this charming cabin offers the perfect escape on the pristine Boardman River in Traverse City, Michigan. With approximately 1,200 feet of private river frontage, Trout Hollow Cottage is ideal for families or small groups looking for a peaceful and private getaway.
The beautifully designed cottage sleeps up to 6 guests, with two bedrooms and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Every room except the bathroom offers magnificent views of the river as it wraps around the property.
With solid-surface flooring throughout, the cottage combines modern comfort with a cozy, rustic atmosphere while preserving some of the original, well-maintained log walls dating back to the 1940s.
Step outside and enjoy stunning river views from the large, well-appointed deck featuring a private hot tub, grill, picnic table with a large sun umbrella, and plenty of reclining and swivel outdoor chairs. The hot tub can be enjoyed day or night, with amazing views of the stars unobstructed by city lights.
Inside, the fully equipped kitchen features a beautiful granite island, making meals and entertaining easy and enjoyable. Entertainment options include cable TV and internet, a 75-inch TV in the living room and 65-inch TVs in each bedroom. A full-size washer and dryer are also provided for your convenience.

Trout Hollow Cottage is perfectly located for exploring all that the Traverse City area has to offer. You’ll be just a short drive from fantastic restaurants, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and beautiful beaches.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers an abundance of walking, hiking, biking, and recreational trails, along with nearby lakes, bays, and the world-renowned Blue Ribbon Boardman River.
The river offers incredible Brook and Brown trout fishing right outside your front door. If fishing isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the river, including swimming, kayaking, tubing, Petoskey stone hunting, and wildlife viewing.

It was as advertised and more John was available to help us out with anything that we needed. The site was very peaceful with wildlife and the sound of running water from both sides. I will definitely be visiting again

The cabin was absolutely neat, clean, and had all the provisions you could need for your stay. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we didn't get to enjoy the grounds, river, hot tub or fire pit as we hoped. We did enjoy the symphony of frogs, toads and birds around the pond and my dog Tucker was fascinated in all things he could not see. I would definitely stay again (hopefully during better weather). Traverse City, Suttons Bay, and points in between were lovely. The cabin is in a great location!
