About this cabin rental

Leave the hustle and bustle behind and immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of Northern Maine, where rugged outdoors and unspoiled nature await. Hike, bike, or ATV through the vast wilderness, explore pristine swimming lakes, and experience the thrill of the great outdoors. Yet, after a day of adventure, retreat to our cozy cabin, where comfort and warmth envelop you. As night falls, enjoy the breathtaking views of the star-filled sky, as our location is considered one of the best places for stargazing in the US.

Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality utensils, pots, and pans, including a lobster boiling pot, and all the modern appliances you need. After a busy day full of adventures, the kids will enjoy the custom bunk beds, while parents appreciate comfortable queen mattress in the master bedroom, complete with luxurious linen sets. A full bath and all the amenities you need to feel at home are also at your disposal.

But the real magic happens outside! Roast marshmallows at our rustic fire pit, where we've provided complementary firewood, marshmallows, and skewers. Enjoy an outdoor cookout on our Blackstone griddle or gas grill, with fresh bison meat available just a quarter mile away at a local farm. Explore the Northern woods on our property, crisscrossed with old tree logging trails, where you might even stumble upon a tiny trout brook!

We have also partnered with the area' premium "toys" dealership, Ride North in Houlton, who will be happy to provide 10% discount and free delivery on their ATV/snowmobile rentals to the property or nearby trail location. Their prices range fron 129 to 1495 from halfday to weekly rentals of ATV quads, side-by-sides and snowmobiles. You can also enjoy snowmobiling, riding and hunting right on our vast property.

And, for our eco-conscious guests, we offer a 220V 50 Amp EV charging outlet on the side of the cabin, making our retreat an ideal destination for those with electric cars. This rare amenity in Northern Maine will give you the freedom to explore the region without worrying about charging your vehicle. We've also designed our cabin with sustainability in mind, incorporating locally sourced and renewable building materials, LED lighting and a grey water recycling system, to minimize our impact on the environment.

As you settle into our cabin, you'll have the perfect opportunity to unplug and recharge. We've intentionally chosen not to provide Wi-Fi, allowing you to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature and your loved ones. Without the distractions, you can focus on the things that truly matter: spending quality time with family and friends, finally playing that long-forgotten board game, exploring the great outdoors, and rejuvenating your mind and body. And don't worry - in case of a “digital emergency” - our location is right next to ta cell tower with a solid signal, and the local libraries provide reliable internet access.

Our cabin is perfectly situated for easy access to a wide range of activities and attractions, including:

• Historic Houlton with unique shops, movie theater and Houlton Farms Ice Cream (15 min)
• Presque Isle - college town with shops, trails, river landing park and recreation complex (1 hour)

Excellent use of space in this sweet little camp. It had everything we needed and then some. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. I had also specifically looked for a place with no Wifi, this is hard to come by, but it kept my kids mostly off their phones and actually reading/ spending time together. The is s decent cell signal, so we were still able to get online on our phones for directions/info. The host was communicative and provides a lot of printed info in the cabin. Highly recommend this VRBO.
