Chateau Esme is quietly nestled between the hustle and bustle of the Castro and Mission Districts, and stone's throw from Market Street, just a block from Delores Park, where the sun always shines!
You'll have exclusive access to the light-filled and abundantly spacious 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, sunroom, laundry facilities, and deck.
Chateau Esme is a classic, tastefully restored late-19th Century Victorian penthouse with views of Twin Peaks, Sutro Tower, City Hall, Mission Delores, and Delores Park,
Chateau Esme is elevated high above 17th Street, with a 40-stair assent from the main entry. With 11-foot ceilings (24 feet in some places), French oak wood floors, crown moldings, antique furniture, modern fixtures (with an antique feel), large doorways, and tall windows, Chateau Esme is filled with fresh air and an abundance of light, joy, and memories.
The kitchen is fully stocked with an updated smart refrigerator, espresso and Nespresso machines (Virtuo capsules), a hot water pot, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove, toaster, blender, and all the necessary cast iron and ceramic cookware. In addition, you will have access to the washer and dryer (in the loft), and office center.
The sunroom features a gas fireplace and a midcentury table with seating for six, an antique loveseat, and wine refrigerator. From the sunroom, you can access the back deck with a view of City Hall (lights up at night) and the gardens below (our guests are not permitted to access the gardens).
Views from the skylights and windows in the loft include Twin Peaks, Sutro Tower, and Delores Park. The bedroom in the loft is reserved for the host, but you are welcome to pay a visit and take in the views from above.
The living room has seating for up to six people in front of a cozy fireplace (please do not use), The home is adorned throughout with wool carpets and Pendleton wool blankets in each bedroom and the sunroom, and all linens are 100% cotton.
For your safety, ring cameras are installed in the front and rear of the house and a decibel monitoring device that is set to 75 decibels from 8 am to 10 pm and 70 decibels between 10pm and 8 am.
We ask that you please respect our neighbors, so absolutely no parties, no more than six guests at anytime, and no noise in excess of 75 decibels for more than 5 minutes between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm, and in excess of 70 decibels for more than 5 minutes between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am. Any violation of these rules will result in loss of all fees paid and immediate removal from the property at owner's discretion (please note, we have never fined or removed any guests, but do want to protect and respect our neighbors).
