Town: The large and bustling market town of Mansfield sits in the heart of Nottinghamshire and is well-known for its stunning countryside surroundings and excellent shopping opportunities. The town is also famed for its link to the famous character of Robin Hood, where you can easily access areas of the picturesque Sherwood Forest, as well as Thieves Wood and Fountaindale where you can truly immerse yourself in the tale. On the edges of Sherwood Forest, there is the much-loved Robin Hood’s Wheelgate Park which promises a fun-filled family day out featuring rides including bumper boats and plenty of activities to keep the little ones busy. A wander through the thriving town will find a plethora of high street and independent shops to peruse, a swimming and fitness centre, an ODEON, lush green parks, excellent golf clubs and a local history museum where you can learn more about the town’s rich heritage. The town is ideally located for exploring the surrounding areas and attractions which include the National Trust site of Hardwick Hall and Newgate Abbey.
