Town: The village of Talybont stands on the Afon Leri, and Afon Ceulan riversides in the area of Genau'r Glyn. Resting halfway between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. There is a popular tavern in the local area; Y Llew Gwyn (The White Lion), well worth a visit, serving delicious home cooked meals and an array of tipples, whilst also welcoming well-behaved dogs onto its grounds. The village is orientated around mining and woolen mills and is currently known as the base of leading Welsh publisher, Y Lolfa, which produces Welsh fiction and factual titles. You cannot miss the mural by local artist Ruth Jên of Welsh heroes and characters situated in the centre of the village.
