Ganesh Guest House

Ganesh hostel became like my second home. The owner was very welcoming and kind, often inviting all the guests for an outing or to share dinner together. He also shared a lot of valuable information about Bhaktapur as well as potential trip recommendations in Nepal with regards to your personal interests. The owner and staff made me feel like family, they were always ready to help however needed and I really loved staying there. The facilities are simple, comfortable and very affordable. They provide delicious tea, breakfast and home cooked meals as well as laundry service. The location is perfect, right next to the pottery square and very close to the 5 story Siddhi Lakshmi Temple. When I visit Bhaktapur I will definitely go back to Ganesh Hostel. The only thing is that the Google maps doesn’t take you directly to the hostel, but if you look for the sign on the buildings, you will find the hostel or you can just contact Deebesh directly and he will guide you to where you need to be. There is a lovely upstairs terrace area where you can enjoy your tea and make art, music, socialize with the other travelers or admire the streets, buildings and people from above.
