Eagle's House, Room #2

No breakfast provided, but we had access to use the many appliances and dishes in the kitchen. It was quiet, the host was helpful and friendly, the room and facilities were clean, soap & shampoo were provided, parking was close by in the driveway, bathroom and shower were next to the room and were nice. It was the most reasonable place to stay in Victoria. It was about 15 minutes to drive downtown to our appointments and close to Royal Oak shopping centre- with choices for restaurants and other services, There was a quiet oscillating fan in the room. The host helped us carry luggage up to the room and provided slippers at the door. The room had a locking door.

No mirror in the room or clock, The fan was not adequate for the heat on the days we booked. There is a long flight of stairs up to the room. Garbage was not emptied in the kitchen- The highway was close by and very busy, so it was tricky to cross it and certainly would be on foot for bus travellers. We never found the Cordova Bay beaches as the roads were changed and we don't have GPS. The host was not available after the first night.

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Big bright and clean house. Very comfortable mattress.

Commuting by public transport isn’t fast

Very difficult to check in. Were not allowed to wear shoes in the house had “slippers” assigned, this was not on booking.com, rang doorbell numerous times until a lovely gentleman finally answered the door, this gentleman had very little English which made a stressful situation even more stressful
