Bambarakanda eco resort

This place feels magical, its so peaceful right next to the waterfall. Shaam and Kera hosted us in such a special way, took us hiking, did yoga with us and taught us how to make coconut roti. They arranged the food all to suit our needs and it was very reasonable. All our kids loved it, great for a family stay. Also Solo coffee just up the stairs is great for a morning brew!

Kids didnt like frogs in the bathroom but its just part of being connected to nature!

You have the place to yourself, can sleep 6 people. You are staring at the Bambarakanda waterfall (highest in SL) at all times from the comfort of your room/apartment.You can order food and he will get them prepared for you. Very fancy mirror in the bathroom with lights shining through. Breathtaking views to the waterfall and surrounding mountains. You can keep looking at it for hours. Scenery changes depending on the time of the day. The caretaker was very polite, very nice and always helpful during our stay.

The pool was empty. No proper restaurant - there is only one apartment to stay in and a single caretaker to look after the property. There was unfinished electrical work, possible live wires hanging out😰. There's no privacy in the sleeping area upstairs, some curtains would have helped. The water pressure was so bad in the toilet and shower. Biddet shower 🚿 would not work- caretaker apologies, but not fixed. No proper parking space, had to park at the neighbor's house. Tea/coffee should have been on the house but the caretaker tried to charge us for it. Then later said we can have it for free. As many properties in the Highland, the road is very narrow and barely enough for one vehicle, also the road surface is very bad. If you're staying here just stay here and leave. Try not to have plans to go in and out, because you will struggle due to the narrow winding road issues. If someone is driving you, that should be okay 😅. The TV is not a smart TV and there was no internet connection or satellite TV connection that worked while we were there.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at this beautiful cabana near Bambarakanda waterfall. The location is absolutely stunning just a short walk to the waterfall, with breathtaking views all around. One of the highlights was the natural pool nearby, where we could relax and enjoy the cool, fresh water surrounded by nature. The cabana was cozy and peaceful, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious freshly prepared with great care, and full of local flavor. Every meal felt like a warm, home-cooked experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering warm hospitality that made me feel right at home. The environment felt safe and peaceful throughout my stay, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Whether you're looking to relax, explore nature, or simply enjoy some quiet time away from the city, this spot near Bambarakanda waterfall is a hidden gem & it was truly a memorable experience. Highly recommended this remarkable place!
