Vaigai Homestay has lot o positives going for it: 1. Proximity to the temple: It is just 2 minutes walk from the North Tower of Meenakshi -Sundareswar Temple. You can leave you belonging including footwear in the room and walk to the temple. 2, There are lot of restaurants, tea/coffee stalls and small outlets close by which are open till 10:30 PM in the night and open by 6:00 AM in the morning 3. It is a three room place with one living room with fridge, table and basic confectionaries for coffee etc. Second room has two big beds with AC covering most of the room & two fans to support. The last is a washroom with hot water available 4. It is spacious for a family of 4-6 members. The beds can accommodate 4 adults easily. 5. It is a self check-in with lock to the gate and key to the apartment available. 6. The host Jayakanthan has been very helpful and was available all the time for any concerns. He made checking in and out pretty smooth. Reached out to me ahead of arrival in Madurai.

All the facilities are excellent. A word of caution for someone booking as a family: 1. The space is excellent but if you have senior citizens travelling with you, just be mindful of the stairs to take to reach the rooms. They are about 15 stairs or so but might be tricky for senior citizens 2. It is located in a very narrow street so it might feel little worrying if you are single person travelling very late in the night. I arrived at 11 pm, it is still fine. but if you are arriving midnight you might be worried. It is only the first time. Once you arrive and settle in you are comfortable.

L’emplacement de ce logement est très proche du temple. C’est spacieux. L’hôte est réactif et répond rapidement. La recommandation du chauffeur.

Il n’y a pas de fenêtre, pas de frigo, pas de cuisine. Mais il a bien l’air conditionné qui pour un meilleure accueil devrait être allumé un petit peu avant que les clients n’arrivent. Le rapport qualité prix pour 2 personnes est élevé par rapport aux autres logements que nous avons fait en Inde.

Location excellent: very close to the temple, but on a very quiet side street. Very clean, airco and fans working well, large beds. And large enough to be comfortable with four people.
