Farnham Haven: Unique Home with Courtyard

it was in a great location, very spacious and easy to access

nothing!

Great location, lots of space including a nice outdoor courtyard.

The courtyard was rather overgrown and the rooms in the house a bit cluttered with ‘stuff’. When we arrived there was a bag of rubbish in the courtyard and the general rubbish wheelie bin was missing. There was a small bucket of cigarette ends despite the property being non smoking. Garden furniture was very tired with 2 chairs completely unusable. Kitchen chairs were wobbly and felt a bit precarious to sit on. We could not get the main television to work despite help from the agents.

The house was comfy and well equiped. The upper room above living room is best btw, on site bathroom. Price was very reasonable.

Despite coming early fall, it was quite cold and heating was not yet on. It was not cold inside per se but not warm either. Water in the bathroom was either super hot or warm. Also the tap in the bathrooms was broken, but we managed. Thats why 9/10 - given the price, it was still rather good, but not perfect.

It was a lovely house in a good location once we had sorted out where to park. Not an easy location to get to with luggage, of which we had loads as was going to a family wedding.

There were two broken chairs in the kitchen which meant we could not all sit around the table but more importantly the double bed in the conservatory room was so uncomfortable that the couple went home on the second night as they said they were not able to sleep in it again after a very uncomfortable first night. Also the pull out bed in the lounge was not comfortable and although a double is only actually big enough for one person. To be honest having a comfortable bed is the most importantly factor when staying away and this has let this property down big time. It was disappointing as I come over from Australia and wanted the family to be together for the two nights, which unfortunately did not happen due to the bed. I think the owners need to address this before renting out again to a large group.
