Location close to George, Knysna and Wilderness, which was important for us. Sea views from living area, terrace and one bedroom.
Property description mentioned the following:
Beach front and easy access to the beach - house is on top of a high dune and there was no access to the beach via wooden steps nearby (steps were closed with maintenance) - no mention that these steps were not available (closest access by car and other steps)
"Guests can relax on the sun terrace or in the lush garden, enjoying the serene surroundings" - property advertisement indicated that you have the entire property to yourself - owner stayed below intermittently, so no "lush garden"available (owner entertained guests below in garden with BBQs so no privacy to paying guest renting the upper floor space) - could not use alarm system for upper level due to people around floor units (had to endure one full day of cleaning service to prepare bottom units, garden, etc),
Property amenities states coffee machine only plunger available!,
Fridge and freezer did not work, had to carry stuff arround to the garage (extra old fridge and freezer in garage) and back again when fridge was working (lost some food, etc.),
Garage door did not work - agent had to go buy a new battery for the remote (should have been checked prior to guests arriving),
Only ONE bath towel per person (not all bathrooms had face towels),
Dish washer did not work - found water supply closed (had to figure it out ourselves) - should have been checked before property was handed over,
3rd bedroom ensuite bathroom door did not work,
One outside security camera facing inwards towards the one lounge (not sure if this was in use and who saw what),
Waited 14 days for breakage deposit refund and nothing were broken!!
