It was a nice, modern place with all the necessary amenities. The location was excellent, surrounded by a beautiful forest and a stunning beach. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. It was quite basic and the same every day, but still delicious.
We also ordered the dinner option for one evening at the same restaurant where breakfast was served, which I understand is part of their facilities. Unfortunately, this was very disappointing. We paid $60 USD for a three-course meal for both of us, but the food quality and taste were very poor. We barely ate anything. In my opinion, it was very overpriced, and we ended up leaving hungry and disappointed.

- Rooms were fantastic - Location is great - Whole El Valle Lodge is a beautiful oasis
- Communication was difficult / wrong phone number was provided, lack of proactive communication, - Felt somewhat like second-class guests compared with "regulars" - We understand that there will be animals in a jungle location. But we had frogs in our bathroom multiple nights and (large) spiders as well, even though we kept all doors and windows closed. Maybe it should be checked whether more can be done to check for entry points for larger animals.
