Villa Eira, Luxury Retreat Kastraki Naxos

We arrived around 10 PM and our host was waiting for us to show us around. She even went across the street to the restaurant to tell them we were coming for a late dinner. Both the host and the management company were very responsive to requests. The house was great for six adults and one child. The patio and pool area have amazing sea and sunset views. The beds are comfortable, the house was very clean and it's nice to have en suite bathrooms in each room. We walked to two beaches and had a short drive to several others. All the restaurants in the area were great. The one across the street has pizza to go. Blue Lagoon at Kastraki Beach was our favorite for seaside dining. There is a grocery store down the road and an excellent bakery a short drive away. You definitely need a car to explore as it is about 30 minutes from the port, but we loved the location.

Superb hosts - extra friendly and go the extra mile. Very nice modern home. Crisp sheets and lots of fluffy towels. A new, well-stocked grocery shop is only 600m up the road.

The location is very 'rural' with goats and chickens roaming around. Lots of abandoned and half-built buildings in the area. So while the house is high-quality the surround area is quite decrepit. Depending on the way the wind is blowing, the awful smell of the goats next door can waft into the pool area.
