About this house rental

Sunshine Perch, a large historic family-style pet-friendly home perched above and looking over St. Ignace & Moran Bay. On the main level walking into the home, you are met with a large, open-style kitchen with unique copper fixtures. Attached to the kitchen you have a small sunroom, and a porch featuring a grill and seating. The kitchen/dining area overlooks the large yard & downtown-facing area. Off the kitchen, you have laundry, bathroom #1, and Bedroom #1 with a king-size bed. Down the opposite side of the home, off the kitchen, there is a warm wood-toned formal dining area, open living area, and library. Head upstairs to find bedroom #2 with a twin-size bed, and twin size trundle bed, bedroom #3 with two twin-size beds, bedroom #4 with a queen-size bed, and bathroom #2. Throughout the house, you are welcomed with deep rich wood tones dated back to the early & historic 1900s. Sunshine Perch is merely steps away from the downtown St. Ignace district, and the St. Ignace Public Library. Watch the fireworks off the front porch, or in the chairs perched at the highest point of the property. Truly a one of a kind home in the area!

Had a great time at this grand old home in St Ignace with a nice view of Lake Huron. 4 bedrooms including one on the main level gave us plenty of room for our family. Close walk to downtown St Ignace with great shops and places to eat. 5 minute drive to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Hope to be back next year.

The house is quite old and poorly maintained. The Adirondack chairs that are pictured have peeled pain and rusty screws; they are not safe to sit on. The upstairs bathroom plumbing was bad; tub barely drained and no ventilation. Upstairs TV doesn’t work. 2 window air conditioners for the house and one had to be uncovered at the end of July.We made the house work for our stay but it definitely needs work!
