Marylebone pairs the charm of a historic London village with genuinely excellent connections to the rest of the city. The area is known for its handsome Georgian architecture, garden squares and a strong independent retail scene along Marylebone High Street, home to Daunt Books' original Edwardian shopfront and a lively Sunday farmers' market on Cramer Street. The Wallace Collection and Wigmore Hall both sit within easy walking distance for art and classical music, while Regent's Park offers boating lakes, rose gardens and wide open lawns just to the north. The Grazing Goat and The Golden Hind are both well loved locally, covering everything from a proper Sunday roast to classic fish and chips.
Oxford Circus and Regent Street are close enough for a spontaneous shopping trip, with Selfridges and John Lewis both on Oxford Street a short walk further on. St Christopher's Place, a quieter pedestrian mews just off Oxford Street, is worth seeking out for its cafés and outdoor seating. Hyde Park and Marble Arch sit to the south-west for a longer walk or run. Great Portland Street, Oxford Circus and Bond Street stations all sit within ten minutes on foot, the latter connecting directly to the Elizabeth Line and, from there, Heathrow.
Bond Street Underground is within easy walking distance and is served by the Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines, giving direct access to Paddington, Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf and Heathrow Airport without changing trains.
Oxford Circus is equally close, served by the Central, Bakerloo and Victoria lines, with direct connections to Warren Street, Green Park, Victoria and King's Cross St Pancras.
Regent's Park Underground, on the Bakerloo line, sits at the Marylebone Road end of the street and is useful for Paddington, Edgware Road and Elephant & Castle.
With Marylebone High Street, Fitzrovia and the wider West End all within walking distance, the apartment is exceptionally well placed for both business and leisure stays in central London.
