Vacation Apartment in Northern Tenerife with Ocean View + Teide, Icod los Vinos, La Vega

A one-room studio that has just been newly furnished, featuring a separate private bathroom and a rooftop terrace, as well as a view of the sea and, to the rear, the majestic Teide (Spain’s highest mountain at 3,715 m above sea level). The studio is located in the north on a finca in the small mountain village of La Vega, above Icod los Vinos, on a hillside 580 m above sea level (green, not quite as hot as in the south), where the landlord usually lives as well.
It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the beaches (1,600 m as the crow flies).Playa de San Marcos (see Photo 7 and visible from the rooftop terrace) is one of the most beautiful beaches in the north and isn’t too crowded. (There’s also a bus route from La Vega via Icod los Vinos.) It takes up to 20 minutes to reach Puerto de la Cruz, the second-largest city on Tenerife, and about 50 minutes to Tenerife South Airport.As shown in the photos, the 1,800 m² property features a huge, old, tall palm tree at the entrance (carport), alongside small Canarian apricot trees, a mandarin tree, three fig trees, man-sized cacti, and two bellflower trees.
From the rooftop terrace, you can see, among other things, one of the famous dragon trees very close by (over 100 years old) and enjoy a view all the way to Puerto de la Cruz. The house is located near Drago Park and other natural attractions, such as the Cueva del Viento (caves) and the Tide National Park. About 40 km away is the Bosque de la Esperanza, Europe’s largest eucalyptus forest, and the Masca Gorge is about 20 km away.... so it’s truly in the countryside, perfect for relaxing in nature.

It is a small one-room apartment with a double bed, a two-seater sofa with a table, a small dining table with 2 chairs, and an open fireplace. The bathroom is well-equipped with everything you need—towels, a hair dryer, etc. Wi-Fi and satellite TV with two satellite channels are included. For cooking, there is a two-burner stove, toaster, microwave with grill, electric kettle, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dish soap, as well as everything you’ll need for the first few days—such as spices, sugar, flour, salt, sunflower oil, butter, eggs, mineral water, coffee, tea, beer, wine, sangria, etc.

Small shop in La Vega; 150 m on foot to the bus stop, 250 m. Lidl and other larger grocery stores can be found in Icod los Vinos, a 5-minute (by car). A small restaurant (bar, café) is within sight, and several more are in El Ampura, a 5-minute drive away (including a seafood restaurant and several Italian restaurants). In nearby Icod los Vinos, there are at least 50 restaurants, including some right on the beach. Then there’s Puerto de la Cruz, the largest city in the north, 20 minutes away, where you’ll find over 100 restaurants, including many right on the beach.
