Messini Hotel

The staff are very friendly and helpful The location is ideal for the airport. Close to shops and not too far from the beach. Great breakfast.

I stayed for one night, as the hotel is near the airport and my arriving flight was late in the evening. I experienced a super friendly welcome. The room was small, but nice and clean. I really enjoyed the mattress, which was hard, but shaping itself tightly to my body—one of the best mattresses I ever slept on, might be even better than the one I have at home.

I missed a curtain, which blocks the light from outside. The room just had a sheer curtain. The joints in the shower need to be replaced and I couldn't adjust the shower head to a useful position.

The Messini hotel is about 5 mins drive from Kalamata airport so is ideal as a stop after a later flight. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were delightful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of variety and very generous. We walked into the local town for supper at one of it's many restaurants. Only 5 mins walk. The hotel has a carpark so works well if you have collected a hire car at the airport.

Located on a busy street, with nothing to do nearby (on foot). Unpleasant town and neighbourhood, we hardly felt safe. Room was passable, especially for only one night, but not good value for money, outdated facilities, bathroom too small and impractical, beds uncomfortable. Restaurant area is nice and the food is good. It's sad that the glasses smelled "musty"
