    My mother & father-in-law stayed at the hotel for 2 nights to attend a friends funeral nearby. They were very impressed with the cleanliness, the breakfast and even the price of a pint in the hotel bar (cheaper than the pub down the road). Staff were great too!!! Highly recommended and don't be put off by the cheap price

    Booked last minute as a stopover. Hotel seems to be stuck in a time warp of 1990’s decor and room facilities. Bed mattress very uncomfortable (soft and lumpy) . TV is about 30 years old. Tea / coffee kettle set about 30 years old and yellowed through time. Bathroom was relatively clean but required refurbished. Nothing quality about this hotel !!!

    Many stays without issues … but of late … staff trying to vacate rooms before check out time ( two occasions); room where heating couldn’t be turned off (59). Previously, bed mattress was uneven .
