About this apartment rental
Our private, cozy Cambridge apartment is minutes from Harvard Sq. and Boston. Its close proximity to Fresh Pond is a bonus. Our family friendly, Strawberry Hill neighborhood offers easy parking, great local eateries or a quiet night in. The comforts of home
Guests have access to the entire private 1st floor apartment and 1 parking space in front of the house or on the street. We are located in West Cambridge, near Harvard Square and are an easy commute to Boston. Within a ten minute walking distance, there are many local places to eat and drink.
(See below*)The Spacious 1 bedroom private apartment can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people. Our apartment is a collection of new and vintage furniture interspersed with art. The bedroom has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress.
The front sitting room doubles as the guest bedroom and has a twin size day bed with pillow top mattress and a pop up twin size trundle bed underneath. There is a portable crib available as well.
The living room has a 32"TV, Cd/DVD player, games and books for your use. the spacious couch, rocking chair and comfy chair offer ample sitting space to relax in.
The newly renovated eat in kitchen is fully equipped with a new gas stove (air fryer and convection features), microwave, dishwasher and Italian tile floor. There is a full size refrigerator and an assortment of cooking supplies. There is coffee and cream and teas always available. I also supply creamer, butter, croissants, oatmeal, snacks, wines.
I live upstairs with our senior dog, Momo and adult daughter.
( Our dog stays only upstairs).
I am an artist and former teacher at the Elementary school around the corner. I am usually around in the afternoon and evenings. Feel free to Seek me out at your discretion. I am available by text, phone or email.
*Strawberry Hill is a very friendly neighborhood between Huron Ave and Mt Auburn St. Sofra is a quick walk away. Homemade Greek yogurts and foods can be found at Sophia's on Belmont St, and just before that Linda's Donuts makes the best home made donuts from scratch every morning. There is a large supermarket and drug store as well as local food shops- Russo's, Eastern Lemejuan, The Fresh Pond Golf Course and Waterworks have a beautiful walking/jogging path and public golf course just minutes away. We are a short walk to Star Market, Fresh Pond Shopping Plaza, Mt. Auburn Cemetery, and the Charles River.

We are 1.5 miles from Harvard Square. A quick walk to the 72 or the 71 & 73 buses. A 10 minute bus ride to the square. Easy driving routes to Boston and Rte 2.
There is laundry if needed, please inquire.
Due to allergies no use of soy candles, fabreze, peanut oils. Laundry- soaps are provided ( due to allergies).
No Smoking on property.

This was a great little house for my adult daughter, our 8 month old grandbaby and my husband and me. We were visiting for a family party so we already know the area, but for anyone that doesn't, the owner provides lots of information, maps etc to get around. The house was a bit of a challenge to find on a dark rainy night as we didn't get there till 10 but it all worked and we made it.
Everything from her nicely stocked fridge with, wine and eggs, juice and croissants to comfortable beds in a quiet neighborhood made this a perfect spot for us. She even had fresh chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. We really appreciated having the kitchen supplied with our first morning breakfast, especially with our late evening arrival.
The owner was very accommodating and great to work with.
Hopefully our little grand daughter didn't keep everyone up too much. She is usually a good sleeper but being in a strange place and not in her crib definitely affected her sleep. The pack n play was very handy and we were grateful we didn't have to bring one with us.
My only suggestion if you do keep taking families with young children would be a high chair would have been the icing on the cake. But we were not expecting one, so we were fine. Just a thought for the future.
Just one thing should be checked. We were having a tough time with the key. I could get it in but had a hard time getting it back out of the lock once we locked or unlocked the door. Just thought you might want to get that checked.
Otherwise it was perfect and I highly recommend it if you are traveling to the Boston/Cambridge area.
