About this villa rental
You’ll be renting the entire VILLA ACHTERKERKE as a vacation home!
There are two vacation apartments available on both the first floor and the upper floor—each of which can be used completely independently. The living areas of these apartments are connected by double-leaf doors, allowing you to experience the spaciousness and grandeur of the entire floor and creating a sense of generous living space!
You’ll also enjoy the house’s advantageous orientation, with a magnificent ocean view on the northeast side and the historic projection on the southwest side, with sunshine lasting well into the evening.
Exquisite furniture and artwork, along with solid wood parquet flooring—partly covered with high-quality carpets—define the home’s style. All bedrooms offer ocean views and are equipped with handcrafted stainless-steel beds, built-in closets including a safe, a TV, blackout curtains, and insect screens.
Comfortable leather (sleeper) sofas in the living rooms can be used as additional sleeping accommodations. The furnishings also include Smart TVs with soundbars—for easy connection to a smartphone, iPad, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
Each floor features a self-contained, fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, ceramic cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, filter coffee maker, Nespresso capsule machine, mixer, etc.). In addition, there is another fully equipped kitchenette in the living areas facing the sea.
There are 3 bathrooms on the upper floor, one of which has a bathtub.
On the lower floor, there are 2 bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and one with a tub and shower.
The first floor and upper floor are connected by a staircase.

Please be considerate and use the loggia, the terraces, or the side balcony on the upper floor instead.
Bringing a dog is permitted only in the ground-floor south apartment and only after prior arrangement with the landlord. Pets are not allowed on the upper floor!
If you are renting the entire villa, please note that our staff will access the utility and technical rooms in the basement, even during your stay. They will do so via the common stairwell—with due consideration for other guests. The individual floors are, of course, locked.
VILLA ACHTERKERKE—here, the sea lies at your feet!
This enchanting 5-star villa (built in 1845) is one of the oldest surviving villas in Heringsdorf. It sits majestically—with a fantastic view—on the Kulm hill, on a spacious, well-maintained property with mature trees. The house has been expanded on the seaside and opens out toward the Baltic Sea—with ocean views from every apartment. Many regular guests return time and again to this relaxing retreat and appreciate the owner-managed property.
The villa comprises four vacation apartments, two of which can be combined floor-by-floor to form a spacious unit. The house can therefore be booked flexibly for up to 12 people (prices upon request): as a whole—as a floor for up to 6 people—or as 4 units, each for up to 3 people!
Vacations with dogs are only permitted in Vacation Apartment 3: Ground Floor / South & Sea, subject to prior arrangement.
On the property, a staircase leads down to the spa gardens and the wide, white sandy beach. From May through September, we offer you the opportunity—even before your trip begins—to reserve one of our 4 beach chairs (70 €/week). Our section of the beach is a bit quieter, away from the bustling beach life around the pier. Restaurants, as well as places to stroll and shop, can be found on Kulmstraße and in the town center, just a few steps away.
We offer a free bread roll delivery service and excellent Wi-Fi coverage. A member of our staff will be on site as your point of contact during your stay! Upon request and subject to availability, we offer mid-stay cleaning, additional linen changes, or laundry service for a fee. If you’re arriving by car, please reserve a parking space on the property (for a fee).
As a partner property of the Balmer See Golf Park, our guests can use the driving range for free and enjoy discounted green fees! Sauna and wellness facilities are available at nearby hotels and at the OstseeTherme.
VILLA ACHTERKERKE is the heart of the ACHTERKERKE FOUNDATION. The foundation supports gifted children from low-income families on the island of Usedom and is committed to instilling values and strengthening social skills.
Check-in is from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., and check-out is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
