Guesthouse 湯本見山

Clean beds, reasonable price. Spacious room with windows for a nice view. Bathrooms were shared but clean all the time and we never found them crowded.

There was a smell inside the main hall as guests were hanging their wet clothes inside. The windows should remain open and there should be a separate wet clothes hanging area. Mattresses were very hard.

Clean and organized

Location

Convenient to get to and from the station. There's a shortcut over the rail line that gets it down to 13 mins walking. People I met friendly. Kitchen and lounge are huge. Rooftop is great. Aircon in room very good. Kitchen has microwave, stove, fridge freezer, sink. Dishes to use. Toilets are clean and very new..shower room is clean and always hot water. Loved the shower! Shampoo and body gel topped up. The vibe is cool. Room artwork is good! Wifi is excellent 👌 Other guests quiet. I got a good night's sleep. Each bed has light and power point.

The whole place is dirty. Found uncooked pasta crumbs under my mattress. Wallpaper hanging off walls on 2F. Fittings are all just a bit broken. Kitchen flooring uneven and very soft near refridgerator. Dusty. Whole place could do with a deep clean. Please clean this place better Only 1 sheet given for the bed. No pillow cover. I'd like to have one sheet for mattress, 1 cover for duvet and 2 for pillow. Do not like self check-in and no staff seen. Did not respond to my messages on booking.com chat. Considering the few breakfast options in the area I'd hope you could provide coffee/tea and bread for toast. A light breakfast would be very helpful in Hakone. There appears to be dead bugs hanging off the chandelier in the kitchen and glasses, cups are mouldy on the shelf opposite the sink. The kitchen sink is very loose in the fitting. It shows how poor the fittings are in the whole place. Kitchen seats are stained
