Fox Inn sits on a hilltop over Yucca Valley, and one huge accordion door opens the whole living and dining room to it. Mornings belong to the sunrise in the east. Spend the day between the outdoor bed and the outdoor couch, splash in the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March), then take the hot tub facing the boulder field as the propane fire pit warms up. Three bedrooms, bamboo sheets, a primary with its own patio. Set an alarm once, for sunrise.



The Space:

Fox Inn is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home completed in late 2021, sitting on a hilltop overlooking Yucca Valley. A huge accordion door spans the entire living and dining area, so the view is everywhere, and the sunrise to the east is a highlight each morning. Outside are a hot tub facing the boulders, a cowboy tub, an outdoor bed, an outdoor shower, a propane fire pit and a BBQ. It suits families and small groups of up to six. Fold the accordion door all the way open and leave it that way.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The hot tub overlooks a boulder field below the house. Cool off in the cowboy tub, which is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. There are also an outdoor bed, an outdoor couch, an outdoor shower, a propane fire pit, a propane BBQ and a dining patio facing the boulders. The yard is not fully fenced. Covered parking and a Level 2 EV charger are available.



-Living Area-

The living and dining area opens completely to the outdoors through a huge accordion door. There is a TV, a Bluetooth sound system, books and board games, with dimmers on the lights throughout.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, kettle, drip coffee maker and French press, with professional cooking utensils and complimentary Joshua Tree Coffee Co. coffee. Eat at the indoor dining table for six, facing the view, or at the patio table by the boulders.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Fox Inn sleeps up to six in three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king bed, a private patio and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has a king bed. Beds have bamboo sheets. A crib and high chair are available on request.



-Surrounding Area-

The Copper Room at the historic airport and Old Town Yucca Valley are the easy outings from Fox Inn, with La Copine and Giant Rock Meeting Room, Pappy & Harriet's and the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park for other days.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



There are no dirt roads to the house, and there is cell phone coverage at the property.



Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Fox Inn is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.

► Weddings and events are by inquiry only and are subject to permits and applicable law.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub and cowboy tub are serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, and service may fall during your stay. Our technician will go directly to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

For your security, there is one camera facing the driveway. There are no cameras inside the home or in the back of the property.
