About this cottage rental
The views from here are quite fabulous, looking out over green farmland to the mountains beyond – a small taste of the scenery that awaits for those who fancy going out for a walk nearby. And you don’t have to go far at all to find somewhere to stroll – there’s woodland right next to the farm (particularly pretty in spring, when all the bluebells are in bloom) and the trailhead for the Mountain Grove Looped Walk is just over the road. As this site is pet-friendly, you’ll be able to take your dog out on your walk too.
Sitting outside to take in the scenery is a popular activity at this site, and you’ll be welcome to light up a barbecue for some alfresco cookery while you do so. Pick up supplies at the shops in Piltown or Carrick-on-Suir; both places have pubs for a post-shopping pint, and Carrick-on-Suir has a good collection of places to eat as well. For a taste of city life, Kilkenny and Waterford are both around half an hour’s drive away, with plenty to offer in terms of places to eat and things to see or do.
