Casa Bonomo

When you arrive and feel like you’ve returned, you know you’re in the right place. The family smiles. There’s so much love here. The accommodations are comfortable, with real attention to detail. I could have stayed in Castelbuono for two weeks, because the town itself is charming — but it was the people running this place who gave me such a warm feeling. It began with a beautiful breakfast delivered right to my room: fresh orange juice, great coffee, pastries, and more — I’ve never had a morning like it. Lorenzo and Vittoria are movie stars. They gave me so much attention, and I deeply appreciated the cooking lessons. Filippo and Angela, the parents, were just as wonderful — Filippo even picked up my laundry for me himself. During a local festival, Lorenzo reached out and said, “Please join us.” This is what family does, even for a stranger. I will come back to this inn. It may be the sparkling gem in the mountains of Sicily. (Thanks to Madonie Explorers who referred me!)

The air conditioning requires about 10 minutes to begin as it has a mind of its own.

The property was in a great location - close enough to walk everywhere in the town. The room was tastefully furnished, spacious and comfortable; although there is only one chair to sit on. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet at night. The host was good at communicating and explaining things to us. There is on-site parking available at a cost, but it needs to be pre-booked. And the breakfast at 10 euros was very good value - fresh croissants, fruit, fresh squeezed juice, yoghurt and coffee. If we return to Castelbuono, we would certainly stay here again.

Ein paar Handtuchhalter wären gut sowie eine 2. Sitzgelegenheit. Die Handtuchheizung kann sehr warm werden.
