Tiny Townhouse Tavira By Junto ao Mar

Location was great, near a main square within walking distance of good bars, restaurants , and easy access to shops, the ferry etc... The House is so quaint and although literally Tiny was well decorated and equipped very well in the kitchen, with a cooker, little oven, microwave, toaster etc.. , the bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a sun terrace. Also our Host responded quickly to messages and agreed to our request to check in earlier which was very much appreciated.

Unfortunately there was a house renovation taking place directly opposite which we were not aware of at the time of booking, the works proved to be very noisy during our stay between the hours of 8am and 5pm, we were unable to use the sun terrace during this time as it was super noisy , luckily we like the beach so took ourselves off during most of the day but it did mean when we got back it was difficult to have an afternoon rest/little nap until after 5pm, fortunately the work did not take place over the weekend so we had a couple of lovely quiet days, also the metal staircase to the upstairs bedroom is very steep and it was quite tricky going up and down especially if carrying something and during the night to access the Bathroom on the ground floor, we feel it would be quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues, and or like us who are simply getting older , but we managed it!!!

Usually, when I’m on vacation, I choose accommodation with lots of reviews. But I’m so glad I didn’t pay attention to the number of reviews this time! We truly enjoyed our stay! A lovely little house with a terrace on the upper floor. It has everything you need for cooking and doing laundry. We didn’t even need the air conditioning — we slept with the terrace door open. There were no mosquitoes or other insects, so nothing disturbed our sleep. The staircase is quite steep, but we knew about it in advance, and it wasn’t a problem for us at all. The location is excellent, and the neighborhood is very quiet. There are some great restaurants within walking distance (I recommend booking in advance!). There is also a bakery nearby with delicious desserts, which, to our surprise, was even open at night! Getting to the ferry for the beach doesn’t take long either. We were absolutely delighted with our stay!!! A huge thank you to Matilde, who was always available and made it possible for us to check in without any problems, even late at night. We would definitely stay here again!

Incomodidad por las escaleras para subir al dormitorio y terraza

Das Haus ist zwar klein, aber absolut gut durchdacht. Alles war neu und sehr sauber. Super war die Klimaanlage auf beiden Etagen. Die Treppe ist zwar steil, war für uns (65 und 68 Jahre) aber völlig problemlos. Die Lage ist top. Sehr gute Restaurants liegen direkt nebenan.

Perfekt wäre ein Mückenschutz in der Tür zur Dachterasse.
