Nice location in a small neighborhood

The home is very nice. It is clean, good size, had everything we needed. The home was minutes from downtown where all of the shopping and resturants are.
As we were getting to the neighborhood, we were very Unpleasantly surprised!! The neighborhood is in a less than acceptable. The homes throughout the neighborhood are very old, run down, and didn't feel safe. As we pulled in the driveway we almost left immediately because the houses across the street were very run down.
Our side of the street was newer homes. It was not what we expected. We felt like the neighbors were not thrilled.
I want to say again that the home itself was fantastic! It was the neighborhood that left us very uneasy. We don't know the area so it was surprising as we were driving in.
