Coastal Dream 2-storey Penthouse

Location is excellent, so close to everything and the permanent neighbours in this apartment block (particularly right next door, and inside the front door) are so lovely and very helpful. Local bars, some restaurants and the beautiful beach all nearby, while recovering from a hip replacement this was a lovely place to stay. The lift always worked while we were there (although there are four steps up to it) so mobility was decent - small lift though, you'll struggle with a pram. The management company is wonderful by the way - so responsive and very pleasant in all my dealings with them. Really good TV, extremely comfortable mattresses, loads of bedding and towels, lovely big balcony upstairs and very handy utility room.

Very minor things; there's no oven - a long term stay like ours was made quite difficult because of this, Consum etc are so close it's much more convenient to cook and eat at home. Also the hob top locked on day two and despite downloading that specific models' instruction manual, it wouldn't come back. Lucky for us I had camping equipment so we used that. It came back after two weeks when the building's power shut off and was rebooted by the caretaker. One last drawback (but out of control of the owners) is the NOISE. Typical of Spain, no insulation anywhere - the neighbours in the next building over were loud, and we were lucky to stay off-season. I don't think a wink of sleep would be had if the apartment block next door was at full occupancy. Oh - one other tiny niggle, the sofa is really uncomfortable so we sat on the beach chairs! :) Oh, another actually - there's no rail in the bathroom upstairs so you can't shower?? We found that odd, no glass, no curtain, so you just have to use downstairs. Not a big thing, just peculiar since there is a shower head there.
