While attending a family history event in East Troy, we were delighted to stay on Lake Beulah. The cottage was beautifully renovated with high quality workmanship and attention to detail. The vibe is calming and eclectic Scandinavian. The hosts were entirely responsive and attentive to our needs and our comfort.
It was a little challenging to get the canoe in and out of the water, but it was really great to have access to the lake and a canoe just waiting to be paddled! Be prepared to carry luggage up and down the exterior stairs -- sturdy and well lit, however! And it's worth it! -- an understandable logistic for a cottage set right on the shoreline.
