The location was spectacular. The place was spacious clean and had many comforts. It was aesthetically pleasing however a bit tired! The view was incredible.
Firstly the process of contacting management for check in was tedious. They did not send me instructions before hand as all other places have on my 7 week holiday. When I did make contact they sent me a contract to sign and asked for a $300 deposit hold on my credit card. We found it difficult to find the fridge ( a draw) we couldn’t turn on the aircon and my husband had to fiddle with the controller after sending messsges to management we found the fridge snd learnt how to get the tv out of the electric cupboard. Would be helpful to have some printed instructions to find/ work things. We still never found the microwave which was apparently there? Starting with kitchen. No tea towel to dry dishes that we washed by hand as we couldn’t get the dishwasher to turn on. No ice cube trays, ants gathered overnight. States that there are 2 bathrooms however the second “bathroom is only a toilet, no bath or shower! So our adult kids had to shower in our room with no privacy! Main bedroom had only one pillow each on a king size bed. No extra pillow in any cupboards. The bed is super hard which might not suits some. The bathtub does not hold water. I ran a bath and in 15 minutes the water had drained out with plug shut! The shower has wooden slats on the floor and when the water is turned on it smells highly of urine. I’m not sure if it’s the timber slats or the drains underneath the slats. There needs to be some guidance regarding light switches also. We were unable to turn lights on directly above bathroom mirrors so putting makeup on was troublesome. For a place as high end and for the price you pay per night the towels need to be replaced. They are thin and old and mine had a bleach mark on it! We used the washing machine one day and came home to find it still running hours later stuck on a programme. Had to stop and change to spin cycle to finish it off. Tried it out again and same thing happened. Thanks goodness we didn’t exceed our daily electricity allowance!
