Anokhi Garden Guesthouse and Cafe

It's nice, comfortable, and has a small garden. The interior decor is simple but thoughtful. I also appreciated being shifted to the upstairs room on Day 2 after letting them know I would ideally like a room with a high ceiling and large windows. Many thanks to Saraswati ji who helped me with a late check-in and was attentive and professional.

1. Minor repairs needed for the window mesh of the studio upstairs, to keep mosquitoes out. I would say replace the mesh on both windows 2. Let guests know that they can feel free to open the Velcro downstairs (the first room I was assigned, by the entrance) and thus open the outer windows for ventilation. I think (after speaking with the owner) I was expected to assume this on my own, but as a guest who had just arrived at a late hour, I wasn't sure. Maybe other guests will rip it open anyway, since we all need air--this could just have been me trying to be respectful towards the property.

Homely and sweet

Close to the main road and lot of noise at night

It was just right. Was both social and private at the same time. Was so helpful that I could use the washing machine and have a nice breakfast that was included in the price. It’s a cool space to meet like-minded travellers and do your own thing.

Nothing really. The cafe could be open longer hours but it really wasn’t an issue.
