Pinna Flower Homestay Cabana

Staying here felt like discovering a hidden gem. The private cabana’s architecture was stunning—open, airy, and thoughtfully designed, with facilities that far exceeded what I’d expect from a homestay. The privacy was absolute, making it easy to unwind, and the view over the surrounding landscape was a daily treat. Meals were delicious, service was warm and attentive, and for the quality offered, the price felt like a steal. Plus, the easy access to nearby attractions—especially the elephant orphanage—made the location even more convenient.

The room could have been tidier, with noticeable dust and spots that seemed overlooked. At night, the biggest nuisance was the insects and flies swarming around the lights, which made sitting outside or even keeping windows open uncomfortable. A bit more attention to pest control and deeper cleaning would go a long way in making this otherwise wonderful stay truly flawless.

The hosts are exceptional. Their kindness and friendliness was another level. They went out of their way to cater for everything we might need, and everything our two young children could ask for. The property itself is beautifully made and really unique. It’s decorated so nicely and all the lovely finishing touches are great. The front balcony is wonderful with a gorgeous view of the rice fields and jungle beyond. The food provided (breakfast, lunch and dinner was all exceptional).

There was a little bit of noise from traffic from the main road but this didn’t bother us.

Lovely family owned villa. Brand new and very nice. Two bedrooms on separate levels and a small but very pleasant private plunge pool. Breakfast was tasty and with many choices. The host cooked us beautiful dinner- the Sri Lankan curry a must try (the best I’ve had so far) Location was good - only 6 min drive from the Elephant Sanctuary.

Upstairs room gets a bit hot during the day but a fan helped and at night temperature dropped to comfortable.
