Huckleberry Lodge Mountain Getaway Near Banff

We really loved the cozy, family tiny home feel of this property, which felt much more freeing and affordable than a typical hotel or motel stay. The yard and convenient parking were great additions, and the entire place was clean and well-stocked with almost everything we needed for a comfortable few days. The kitchen was a huge plus, allowing us to easily cook meals instead of constantly eating out. It offers plenty of square footage/meter to keep a small family, young couples, or a small traveling group happy, and you can truly see the care being put into making it a safe, quiet, and quaint home.

It is an older house, and while there is an obvious effort to make it look modern and nice, a few age-related quirks stand out. For instance, the floors are not entirely level in all places, and the bathroom ceiling fan sounds a bit like a commercial jet engine when turned on—though we appreciated that it at least functioned well haha. Additionally, the bathroom could use some extra accessibility support, such as handrails or grab bars, to make it safer and more comfortable for older folks. It works fine for a quick stay of a few days, but a few updates here would definitely help but for the most part everything was fine. Nothing wrong with old school and classic. We would stay here again, and I would notify people to stay here out of convenience and personal preference.

Very cute and retro, a step back into the past. Beautiful morning views. The property was clean and the managers were attentive. Check in was simple.

Some things need upgrades. Please replace that awful hurricane bathroom fan and bring the kitchen into the 21st century. Extension cord to boil water is a no-no, and 40 year old fridge and microwave need replacing. Hot water is scalding and will burn guests. Lower it by 10 degrees and save money!

The location is good

They have a cleaner but I guest they should be thorough in cleaning specially underneath the masters bedroom because it has a lot of spider web and dust, vacuum will help to remove dust in the rug. Also there are few spider web in the ceiling of the washroom and masters bedroom. Dust free room or in all area is a must specially if your guest has an asthma.
