The Coach House

Fabulous place to stay. All on the ground floor, so no steps/stairs to climb. The king-size double bedroom is next door to the main bathroom (there is no bath just a shower) and the twin bedroom (beds can be zipped together to make a king-size double bed) has its own en-suite shower room. Both shower cubicles are large & the showers are powerful with plenty of hot water. There is good quality hand wash/bodywash/shampoo/conditioner in dispensers in the bathrooms. Towels provided are large, soft & fluffy. All beds are so comfy, and there is good bedding, duvets, throws & pillows on them. No TV's in bedrooms, but although there is a TV in the lounge with several TV & Radio channels, there is no Netflix, YouTube, etc, so not sure if it is a smart TV? Underfloor heating is excellent, with each room having its own thermostat to control the temperature. The kitchen is well equipped and the hospitality pack provided is the best I have seen with a little bottle of milk, a packet of fancy biscuits, sachets of sugar, regular and decaff individual packets of Yorkshire tea plus regular and decaff individual packets of Taylors coffee bags! Mum Jayne & son Josh were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble even though it was a busy time for them (spring - lambing) and although it is a working farm we honestly hardly heard any noise & weren't disturbed at all. The family only took over the business last summer, so there were a couple of teething issues, but nothing that couldn't be rectified quickly, and they always take suggestions, etc, on board to help them moving forward. I would not hesitate to recommend this place & would happily stay again.

Unfortunately, we found the cooker & sink in the kitchen were very low down (not sure if it is possible to raise them up at all)? so if you are tall, you will struggle a bit. We also had difficulty finding the place (especially in the dark), but Jayne/Josh are looking into perhaps having signage to direct off the main road & possibly using what 3 words to pinpoint the place more accurately.
