Executive Family Haven Short Stay 2 Bedrooms

Was hesitant about my stay seeing recent reviews, but it all worked out just fine, and I think a good value given the price. No issues with cleanliness of bathroom, kitchen, etc., though there is a lack of attention to details (standing fan blades are dirty, walls have some smudges in high traffic areas, fridge drawer runners show past spills). The bedrooms are large, the bedding is decent quality, the mattresses are a bit soft for my taste but in good shape. Great shower - large, lots of hot water, good shower head. Street parking is easily available within a block, when the single spot directly by the house is occupied. Plenty of toiletries (thoughtfully including lotion), and host provides coffee and filters. Host reached out to see if we needed more towels or anything.

Normal sound leakage for a basement suite - not excessive or disturbing to us. Some of the work is evidently DIY (uneven peel and stick tiles, rough textured walls). One bedroom only has a single side table, and there are no table lamps. The bathroom fan does not work. There is a large hole in the screen in the kitchen window, so we didn't want to leave it open and it did feel a bit stuffy/smelled of cleaning products. The couch could use a cozy blanket. You'll likely want to wear socks on the cooler floor. The single "sharp" knife in the kitchen is dull and has a broken point.
