The Hutch

The location was perfect. The house was amazing and rich in history!

This historic Kentucky home was restored beautifully and history across eight generations preserved. Warm and accommodating for our group of seven. We enjoyed the Bourbon Trail and the Kentucky Derby and this family home for a perfect long weekend!

no bathroom on the top floor, however, it had two on the main level of the house.

Beautiful property on a quiet country lane just outside Bardstown. The house is a historic property originally built in the 1780s and housed multi-generations of the same family. The place is amazing with exposed hand hewed timbers, wood floors and antiques throughout. While maintaining the historic ambiance, the kitchen and bathrooms are modern and up to date. There are three bedrooms, each uniquely decorated, with very comfortable beds. The property is well located in Bardstown which is in the heart of Kentucky bourbon and horse country. A highlight is the outdoor firepit under a covered pavilion which is perfect for relaxing with a drink after a day of exploring. We also met one of the owners who stopped by to see how we were doing and told us about his family's fascinating history in the area. I found The Hutch to be a cost effective option to a traditional hotel especially if their are multiple people in your party. I highly recommend The Hutch as a place to have a relaxing and comfortable stay!

Nothing really. One thing to note in case it makes a difference to some; two of the three bedrooms are upstairs but both bathrooms (each equipped with full showers) are on the ground floor. It wasn't a big deal for us.

We loved the location being so peaceful and the history of the home. The Christmas decorations were an added touch to make it feel more special.
