Itaewon Mellow Stay

The location was excellent, with a mosque within walking distance and plenty of halal restaurants nearby. It made getting meals very convenient, and the overall communication from the host was clear and helpful throughout our stay.

The road leading to the property is quite steep, which may be a little challenging for some guests, especially when walking. However, this is due to the area's terrain and not something the host can control.

The host's communication was great. We expressed some concerns and they responded very quickly. The unit is comfortable for sleeping and very quiet. It has a nice washer and dryer. WiFi worked great. AC worked great.

The unit is in a basement. No windows and no egress, besides the front door. The bathroom ceiling is 5'11'' (180cm), so if you're taller than that, you can not stand up straight. There is a really large and awkward step to get in and out of the bathroom, too. This unit would not be approved with a certificate of occupancy in the EU or USA. Also, the entire neighborhood will be under construction for the foreseeable future as of May 2026, so be warned that access will be a challenge until that is done.

First of all, the location was excellent. It was within walking distance from Itaewon Station, and the neighborhood itself was quiet and comfortable. Just about a 5-minute walk away, you can reach the main Itaewon area where there are plenty of international restaurants, marts, 24-hour convenience stores, cafes, attractions, and things to enjoy. Very responsive host, clean accommodation

The apartment doesn't have real windows and there's no natural light coming in because it's in the basement of the building. The blinds that you see in the picture are there for decoration. It felt humid
