I liked the location, not too far from the bus & near the water . A good spot to get the ferry to explore Newcastle.. Delicious meals & a cafe .

Not having tea coffee making facilities in room for early cup of tea

I loved the vibe of the old pub. Location and views were excellent. Very comfy bed and good sized room. Very friendly staff.

I was disappointed that there wasn’t a common room as is often the case in the old pubs. One where you can have a refrigerator to store any of the goods you might have. I realise that there is a cafe and restaurant onsite but I have coeliac so have to carry some of my own food with me. Also a common room would have a tv in it and a chair or two to sit on other than sitting on the bed in the room. It was advertised as wifi available but I found that it only worked successfully downstairs. Also my bed didn’t have a warm blanket on it so I was a little cold on the first night and had to wear my jumper to bed. I didn’t want to have the AC going all night. I mentioned this to the staff next morning but by the time I was going to bed a blanket had still not arrived so I had to find one myself, which I did in the empty room across from mine. Doing this made me feel quite uncomfortable but I didn’t want to spend another night feeling cold.

Great local's pub, good food and a nice atmosphere. Good location near the water.

Not great. Rented rooms were at the back of the hotel and located near service areas. Shared bathroom was adequate. Room itself is small with just bed and TV. Not all channels available.

Meal from bistro was very average.
