Right in the center of town, Il Rifugio is a kind of conference center with small, dorm-like rooms--then again every place we stayed in Italy had tiny rooms. The stay was really no frills, and that's fine. What made it awesome was Sara who looked over the place and made sure we had what we needed. She was totally on the ball, great communication leading up to the stay. We were hiking the Cammino San Nilo and she booked us a table at a really good restaurant outside of town, driving us there (10 min), and the chef drove us back to town. She even drove us to the train station the following day (30-40 minutes drive) and refused to accept any pay. They really take care of you here!
