Twins apartment

The apartment was clean and the bathroom was new; great shower. Also, Giovanni was very kind and brought us a beach umbrella from the next town, and his sister described how best to get to the beaches. We were happy to have a coffee machine. The main bedroom was fine, and the a/c worked well. We appreciated having glasses, scissors, a fridge and corkscrew available.

The second bed was a foldout futon in a tiny space that was expected to serve too many functions: entry hall, kitchen/sitting room/dining space/ bedroom. The space was too tight and badly designed. There was a table but no chairs. Also, there wasn’t much natural light, and the electric lighting was bad: only one little lamp with a weak bulb next to the bed; the overhead lights were too bright, because of it here was no way to read or relax there. It was cheaply furnish and equipped: there were 4 coffee pods for 2 people who were staying 3 nights; the futon sheets were ripped and it lacked a mattress pad; there was no fan for the person using the futon, nor were nor were toiletries—or even dish soap. The bathroom and “kitchen” needed hooks, or shelves where one could put stuff. Finally, area allocated to seating outside was miserable: small, hot and right on parking lot and busy street.
