About this villa rental
This luxury vacation home accommodates up to 4 people and is situated in a unique location on the “Chateau de la Brulotte” estate. It is the only vacation home on the estate. The cottage measures 55 m² and was built primarily with natural materials. It features an oak frame, with floors and a terrace made of blue stone (sourced from quarries just a few kilometers away…)
One bedroom with a double bed and a mezzanine with two single beds. (Headroom under the roof is limited)
The bedroom has a TV with Dutch and Flemish channels.
The kitchen is equipped with: an oven, a microwave, a coffee maker (bean-to-cup), a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a dishwasher.
All windows are triple-glazed; there is underfloor heating and mechanical ventilation (System D—balanced ventilation). There is also a wood-burning stove to add to the coziness in the winter.
Bathroom: large shower, wall-mounted toilet, sink.
No smoking, no pets….
The owner lives in the castle, and generally there are only a few people around. The little castle is cozy and homey.
The castle is located on a 20-hectare private estate. There are extensive woods, a vegetable garden and orchard, an ice cellar, unique trees, and a small lake. It’s generally very peaceful. You can take a lovely walk there.
In the summer, the (heated) swimming pool is available for use. Children can play in the woods; there’s a small boat and a pedal boat. The castle is managed by a non-profit organization (a foundation in Belgium); all proceeds go toward the maintenance of the castle and the woods. There are fun day trips to take in the surrounding area.
