Escape to tranquility at this PrivatePool Lakeview getaway on the shores of EL

Honest review. This home home has so much potential. The home is in an older run down neighborhood. They do not have a driveway so you have to park in the grass. The pool is right across from a very busy boat launch. The yard is all weeds that was not cut back in a while, so the pool was impossible to keep clean. Debris was constantly blowing in from yard. The house was very clean and newly renovated. It is however without a washer and dryer. This was miserable for us as we were in town for a 5 game baseball tournament. Nowhere in the listing did it say that the house did not have a washer and dryer. I was just supposed to assume because it wasn't listed as an amenity. I have never rented a house without a washer and dryer so I never thought this would be the case. I did not have time to go sit at a laundry mat, so I had to wash my son's uniforms in the sink. There was no kitchen rags, paper towels or cleaning supplies so it was hard to clean up after ourselves in the kitchen. The master bathrooms window had ill fitting blinds. There was about 4 inch gaps and broken blinds that directly faced the shower. Did not feel comfortable showering in there! They need to put up curtains asap.The house had very comfortable beds and the tv room was very cozy. The host would quickly reply when messaged, but did not do anything to fix concerns. I was just told they would address issue for next guest. If issues were addressed, I would stay again.

It was a great little place for the price. Much better stay than a hotel for a family of 4.

We enjoyed staying at this Eagle Lake home, situated conveniently south of Winter Haven. The home was clean and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the cozy TV room. We slept well on the plush king size bed in the primary bedroom, and the two bathrooms contain showers and plenty of room for a couple or family looking for a week in the Florida sun. The only downside of the location is that the home is located close to a high school and traffic can get a little noisy in the morning. Our host was very responsive. We had a very pleasant stay at this property.

Host was very quick to respond. Home was clean and very comfortable. We arrived late at night but it was easy entering. We stayed in late December and the pool although not heated, looked so clean and inviting that we took a couple plunges. This is a recent flip so everything in the home is new. As a new rental, the kitchen doesn't have a huge selection of spices yet, but it is well enough equipped to cook most things. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and there's a couple of restaurants at the end of the street and its just 10 minutes to downtown Winterhaven. We will definitely return for our next visit.
