Booked around 7pm, arrived around 11pm, had to wait for other guests to let me in as the main door was locked,rang the hotel number 7 times no answer, reception person arrived after 10min of me waiting in reception , after looking for my booking said he can see my name, said I have to pay deposit of 50 and late check in fee of 30, waived the 30 after my protests, room was small, bathroom was really small, had to sit at an angle on the toilet, bathroom had a unpleasant drain smell, would not stay again.

This is a treasure in Bayswater. I had a nice wonderful and peaceful time at this hotel. My room was spacious and that was amazing. I had everything I needed. If they were to consider renovating this hotel, given its ideal location, it could become an even greater treasure in Bayswater. Additionally, they can create something, an effect or unique atmosphere I as a customer don't find anywhere else and it is exceptionally good and they make that very strong. They lead with that. The place is very much alive and asking for that, it is what I saw. I have no complaints at all. Even when I checked out late, the staff member who knocked on my door was very friendly. My heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff for your kindness and hospitality!

Excellent location between Bayswater and Queensway tube stations and buses to popular destinations. If you're looking for top notch comforts, decor and fixtures then this isn't the place for you. It's safe, convenient and quiet and comfortable. It's a great alternative to a hostel, whilst having your own space and facilities. Our double room had working WiFi, was clean and comfortable but had a drain smell was obvious from opening the door. A plug in air freshener provided helped a little. Our en suite shower room was poorly fitted with botched DIY fixtures and the hot water is straight off the mains. Regulating the shower temperature takes a long time, in a confined space, and you risk scalding or freezing yourself in the process. After much adjusting we found the optimum balance between fire and ice and managed to shower. The shower room is essentially a poorly-constructed cupboard. The huge TV on the wall was unable to show live TV so we gave up. The bed was comfy and clean towels and a kettle are provided. One beside lamp didn't work. There was a hairdryer which was helpful. We really only used the accommodation to sleep and wash and store our stuff whilst out and about. Location was important to us, so we can't fault that.
